Top Italian and French cheeses, carefully selected
Domenico and his team are fantastic. I’m a chef and I often get my supplies from The Cheese Store — unique products, carefully selected, from top Italian and French cheeses to excellent local ones.
The "Marquise de Sablé" name honors Madeleine de Souvré, Marquise de Sablé, who is credited with introducing the small round butter biscuit to the French royal court in 1670 — a treat that took its name from her title and from the town of Sablé-sur-Sarthe in the Pays de la Loire. Today's Petits Sablés are made by La Sablésienne, founded in 1962 in that same town, using pure fresh butter from the region, flour from local Sarthois mills, and free-range eggs, following recipes passed down through generations of local bakers. The result is a crisp, buttery little shortbread that carries three and a half centuries of French culinary heritage in every bite.

Absolutely loved the cheese store! Everyone was super helpful and friendly. Lena helped us — she was very knowledgeable on all the cheeses: where they came from, what the region is like, what they are known for. It was like wine tasting for cheese.
Ordered several cheeses from them and the wrong items were delivered. Contacted the store and they recognized the error and immediately sent the correct order the next day without any fuss. Really appreciate the promptness and professionalism.
