La Maison d'Armorine was founded in 1946 in Quiberon, on the coast of Brittany, by Yvonne and Raymond Audebert, who built their confectionery on recipes handed down from Breton grandmothers. Now in its fourth generation, the family business remains rooted in the same Morbihan workshop, using traditional methods like copper kettles to craft its confections. This fine butter galette is made with fresh Breton butter and studded with pieces of Salidou, the house's celebrated salted butter caramel — a classic pairing that reflects Brittany's deep dairy and confectionery heritage, where rich butter and sea salt define the region's sweets.

Absolutely loved the cheese store! Everyone was super helpful and friendly. Lena helped us — she was very knowledgeable on all the cheeses: where they came from, what the region is like, what they are known for. It was like wine tasting for cheese.
