Emmenthaler, often called "Swiss cheese" in the US, is a medium-hard, pale yellow cheese known for its characteristic large holes (or "eyes") and mild, nutty flavor. It's made with raw cow's milk and is a traditional cheese from the Emmental region of Switzerland.
