This cuvée comes from two organically farmed parcels right on the edge of true Puligny-Montrachet — one sits adjacent to the Château du Puligny-Montrachet in the heart of the village itself, unable to carry the Puligny name only because of its in-town location, and the other is a plot of older vines grown on Puligny's border with Meursault. It's fermented and aged in barrel, with a small portion (around 5%) new oak, giving the wine added texture and breadth without any noticeable oak character — the same careful, low-intervention winemaking the domaine uses on its grand cru bottlings, just built for earlier drinking. 2024 was a very small vintage, and it's brought this wine an extra layer of mouth-filling richness that belies its modest "Bourgogne" label. The result drinks like a village-level Puligny at a fraction of the price — pure, textured Chardonnay that's approachable now but has real capacity to improve over the next four to five years.
