It is a younger, milder version of Bra cheese, characterized by a soft, elastic, ivory-white paste and a delicate, milky flavor. The name "Tenero" means "tender" in Italian and refers to its softer texture, which is ideal for eating as a table cheese, in salads, or for making fondue.

Absolutely loved the cheese store! Everyone was super helpful and friendly. Lena helped us — she was very knowledgeable on all the cheeses: where they came from, what the region is like, what they are known for. It was like wine tasting for cheese.
