His great-grandfather Eugène bought the 18th-century château in 1936 — the same year Tavel's AOC was established — and spent years reviving vineyards that were badly overgrown at the time. Today the family farms 32 organically-worked hectares in the hills of the Montagne Noire, on stony terrain of sand and rounded galets, much like the famous soils of nearby Châteauneuf-du-Pape. Tavel is the only appellation in France dedicated entirely to rosé, and unlike most regions, its best parcels go directly into the rosé rather than being treated as an afterthought. The blend leans on Grenache alongside Clairette, Syrah, Cinsault, Mourvèdre, and a touch of Bourboulenc, macerated on the skins for up to 48 hours at cool temperatures to draw out color and aromatics without picking up tannin. The result is a deeper, more structured style of rosé than most — bright red fruit and wild strawberry with a spicy, mineral edge.\u003c\/p\u003e","brand":"Kermit Lynch Wine Merchant","offers":[{"title":"Default Title","offer_id":47412681212073,"sku":"90000392","price":25.0,"currency_code":"USD","in_stock":true}],"url":"https:\/\/cheesestore.com\/products\/chateau-de-tinquevedel-tavel-rose-2025-750ml","provider":"The Cheese Store of Beverly Hills | Domenico's Foods","version":"1.0","type":"link"}
